The Photos app is a comprehensive tool for uploading, managing, storing and publishing photos online. The app offers all necessary features to run your own online photo gallery:
- bulk uploading; drag&drop directly into the browser window is supported,
- photostream showing all available photos ordered by the adding time,
- filtering by tags and ratings
- grouping of photos in albums; albums can be fixed (static) or smart (dynamically filled by photos based on certain search criteria; e.g., tags, ratings, or other parameters),
- hierarchic album list,
- public and private photos,
- individual setup of access rights to private photos and albums for Webasyst backend users,
- viewing photos one by one in the photostream,
- grouping photos in stacks displayed in the backend and the frontend as a single "pack of photos", which is very handy for combining similar images,
- export of one or more selected photos as a direct link or as embeddable HTML code,
- auto-generation of photo thumbnails of any size on the fly, which is handy for flexible setup of the frontend design,
- auto-backup (separate storage) of original image files,
- support for plugins allowing expansion of the apps' functionality; e.g., by means of plugins "Comments", "Import", "Effects" for image processing filters, "Watermark" for applying semi-transparent text or image to uploaded photos (all plugins are installable via the Installer in one mouse click),
- integration with the Blog app for faster publishing of photos in your blog.
